How it works

One app to remember,
and one button to use.

01

Save from anywhere
you already shop.

huff plugs into the share menu on iPhone and Android. See something on Amazon, Etsy, MUJI, a small designer's site, an Instagram post - tap share, tap huff, done. The link, title, and price come along for the ride.

Your phonebook
is your guest list
Anyone whose number you've saved can see your wishlist. Anyone you haven't, can't.
🔒
Hashed on your phone
Raw numbers never leave your device.
👁
Used only for visibility
Never shown to anyone, never sold.
02

Your phonebook
is the only invite.

huff matches you with the people in your contacts who also have huff. No usernames, no follow requests, no friend graph to curate. You see them, they see you - only because you both already had each other's numbers.

Numbers are hashed on your device before matching. We never see the raw digits, and we never sell anything.

03

Plan gifts together,
without the chaos.

For birthdays, weddings, anniversaries - pull a few people into an event. The chat, the shortlist, and the budget all live in one place. Turn on surprise mode and the honoree won't see a thing.

SurpriseHides the event from whoever it's for.

Group chats, but useful

Every event has
its own thread.

Stop screenshotting links into three different group chats. Every huff event has a chat with the items, members, and budget right there — and a Surprise mode that hides everything from whoever it's for.

Live items list
Anyone can add. Anyone can claim. Nobody buys the same Kindle twice.
Reactions, replies, quote-replies
It feels like the group chat you already use - because that's what it is.
Budget thermometer
Set a per-person cap. huff keeps a quiet tally.

Privacy, the long version

Built the boring,
responsible way.

We made a few specific choices early. They're a pain to undo, which is exactly the point. Here's the whole list.

Read the privacy policy
01
Numbers are hashed on device
When you grant contacts, we don't upload the digits. We hash each number locally with a salt and send the hash. The server only ever sees an opaque string.
02
We don't sell to advertisers
Not contacts, not wishlists, not behaviour. huff is paid for by an optional Pro tier - never by your data.
03
Wishlists are visible only to matches
If you don't have someone's number, you can't find their list. There's no public profile to stumble onto and no search by name.
04
Surprise mode actually hides
Honorees can't see the event, the chat, or the gift list - not even by deep-linking. The event simply doesn't exist for their account.
05
Delete is fast and total
Pull your number, delete an item, leave a group, nuke your account - all reflected on every device within about a minute.

Yes. The whole thing - wishlist, contact-matching, events, group chats, surprise mode - is free. No paid tier, no premium features held back.
